Dr. Joey Y. Kohatsu

Dr. Joey Kohatsu was born and raised in Pukalani, Maui. He graduated from Maui High School, home of the mighty Sabers. Dr. Kohatsu is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a proud graduate of the University of Hawai'i System.

His practice focuses on the comprehensive delivery of patient-centered adult primary care with a special interest in incorporating geriatric principles into his practice. He is also passionate about the role of independent private practice in our community and has been in practice since 2012.

Ashlynn Carney

Health Manager

Ashlynn has been a Health Manager for Dr. Kohatsu since 2026. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BS in Biology and BA in Psychology. She enjoys art, music, and trying new places to eat with friends. Ashlynn's dream is to become a Geriatrician practicing in Hawaii, and hopes to travel outside of the country.

Nicole Arios

Health Manager

Nicole has been a Health Manager for Dr. Kohatsu since 2025. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BS in General Biology. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, jazz music, and freelance photography. Nicole aspires to become Physician Assistant dedicated to serving underserved communities and hopes to one day road trip the Pacific Northwest.

Hera Cadelina

Health Manager

Hera has been a Health Manager for Dr. Kohatsu since May 2024. She graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a BS in Applied Human Biology. During her downtime, she likes exploring new cuisines and having karaoke nights with family. Hera hopes to become a physician to go on medical missions to serve underserved populations.
